The Printed Stitch is the result of much hard work and anticipation. I'm so very happy to celebrate the re-opening of my Etsy shop with my new printed + stitched products! If you have any questions about my new wares please don't hesitate to contact me.
I began selling on Etsy five years ago under the name Two Stars, named after my twin daughters, whom I call my "two stars." Under the name Two Stars I sold rag dolls with button eyes. My dolls were purposefully not frilly or princess-y and each one had its own personality. I was fortunate enough to enjoy success selling my little dollies, but, as my children grew older their interest in my dolls waned, as did my own.
So, I set out to begin screen printing and I began getting more into sewing, specifically quilting. After much trial and error and a huge learning curve, I realized my new passion: combining screen printing and sewing. The result? The treasures you find today in my shop: lovingly handmade screen printed pillows, fabric, stuffed cuties and linens as well as quilted items with screen printed elements.
Whenever I work on a project, be it for my shop or to give to a loved one as a gift, I focus on quality. I want my wares to last, so I pay attention to detail and add special touches to make it unique and durable.
I work a full time job outside of the home so my sewing + printing time is very coveted and treasured! I try to carve out time for myself to hide away in my craft room to work on projects. That time usually comes when everyone else is in bed for the night or when the kids are playing with friends.
I have a blog where I post my crafty endeavors, tutorials for craft projects as well as photos and stories of family life. The address is: www.theprintedstitch.com. I'm on Instagram as @theprintedstitch
